I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my OBGYN. I've already told Scott that if she ever stops accepting our insurance, he's changing jobs :-). She is hands-down my favorite doctor EVER. Her name is Dr. Shelley Ramos, and her office is across the street from Las Colinas Medical Center (a few minutes south on MacArthur). She does deliveries at Las Colinas, which is a nice, new hospital. Her husband is an anesthesiologist there, though I've never met him. When she's working, he's at home with the kiddos, and vice verse. They have three little girls--two of them are twins. I also LOVE her nurses and office staff. Not getting to see all of them is the worst part for me about not being pregnant! At least I get to say hi at my yearly visits :-). Her number is (972)401-3200 (from Julie Y.)
I Love, Love, LOVE my OB/GYN! He is the nicest man and actually listens to what you want with your pregnancy and delivery. He does not offer his opinion, unless you ask, just simply gives you the facts. It's nice to feel like you are having the pregnancy YOU want to have and not what your Dr. wants. Dr. Alan Cowen is his name and he is at Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine. His office, Comprehensive Women's Healthcare, is so awesome and his NP, Barbara Buckley, is outstanding as well. He delivers at Baylor Grapevine, which is a nice hospital and the staff there is so great! They love what they do and you can tell. BIG PLUS! Working in the medical field I've experienced my share of disgruntled workers. His practice website is www.grapevineob.com and the office number is: 817-424-3112 Be advised he does NOT do VBAC because of the health risks involved so if you've had a C and wish to have a natural after, you might want to find another OB. Hope this helps! Ashley T.
